The Alexander Technique is an educational method that helps us discover and change patterns of tension responsible for loss of mobility, posture, and leading to painful movement.

The basis of the Technique is Alexander's discovery that a certain dynamic relationship of the head, neck and torso, determines the most efficient function of the body.

As we become more aware of dynamic balance, we can begin to change patterns of movement that are stressful to us.

Why it works

The Alexander approach is unique because it asks us to notice and make changes to How we are moving thereby reducing the amount of stress to ourselves.

Who can benefit

Individuals of any age can benefit from this technique.

People who experience posture related discomfort, such as neck pain, tension and stress can learn to alleviate these conditions.

Many health conscious individuals find lessons help to increase self awareness and maintain agility throughout life.

Sports players and performing artists can enhance co-ordination and control to maximise potential.

I am Belinda Bunn a certified teacher of the Alexander Technique and member of  ATTSNZ, the national affiliated society of teachers.

I began teaching in 1992 and still find it ever rewarding and fun to be in a position to help by passing on these wonderful principles and being part of the change which follows.
