Hi, I am Deepa Saha. Mother of two children aged 7 and 9.  I originally come from India, and have been living in N.Z since 1987.  I was awarded one of the best actors on Bangladesh T.V. in 1986.  Also I am a very good singer too.  I acted in a movie and got great reviews throughout the country.  Click here for just some of my movie photos.

Since I have been living in N.Z, I have become experienced in many other things also which I feel very proud of, including modelling in television commercials.  If you are interested to know about me please look at my story since then.  I hope you will enjoy reading it.

My experience has also been of teaching young children drama, yoga and dancing - music and movement.  I have also been a pre-school teacher at the Montesseri pre-school centre in Christchurch.

Around this time, I was voted as having the longest hair in the Indian TV and film industry.  When I was at university, a man approached me to ask me to appear in a shampoo commercial.

My story since then...

Since I've been in Christchurch, I've had many wonderful experiences, which include studying for a Diploma of Teaching at the Chch College of Ed, and other study at the Chch Polytechnic. (At Calcutta University, I had completed Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in Physiology, Education and Philosophy) and at West Bengal, a Diploma of Music.)  So in New Zealand, I kept learning, and covered such things as First Aid, Barnados Home-Based Care and Fostering Children, plus Special Needs Training and Abused Children Training.  I also learned Sign Language, Yoga and Te Reo Maori.  I have a wide understanding of Languages and Cultures, including Hindi, Bengali, English, Arbi, Urdi, Fijian Indian, Moslem, Hindu, Kurdish, Buddhism and Maori.  I also gained work experience as a nurse aid on call and working with special needs children and with children who have language, behavioural problems, IHC, Deaf, Physical Problems, ADD-ADHD syndrome, etc; practised Music Therapy with special needs children.

I enjoy teaching, I've taught: Indian Cooking - Nutritional Food on a Budget and Music and Yoga.  I love Music in Movement (which I have taught at an after school programme) and teaching creative acting and music (which I did at the Drama Centre).  I have also enjoyed story telling to children at the Public Library.  And naturally, I love modeling and acting for Television and Film, being a presenter and entertaining people with Music/Dance etc.

I have interests in all of the above plus I enjoy my family, swimming, singing and the beach.
